Have you ever noticed that USA characters do not watch TV. Sometimes they talk about shows, but usually when a TV is shown, it is used for other purposes than programming.
Something I started noticing recently. It seems impossible that this is true for Psych with so many TV references, but it held true in the half season I watched recently.
